The Terraviva Domestic Composter sits beautifully atop your kitchen counter and can process up to 7kg of waste at any time. The fruit of the machines labour is a palatable and odourless soil for your plants around the house. The device decomposes with the help of aerobic microorganisms. These organisms just speed up the degradation process via electromechanical processes and make sure there is no stink.

Some eco-illuminati suggest that the same process occurs naturally in the back yard with a barrel and some sun,  thus making the use of  power to make compost redundant. Canada in February begs to differ.
