With pioneering design from hotel wunderkind Marcel Wanders, the Mondrian has been built with an uber-modern Disney princess in mind. From the oversized chess piece pillars that dot the space, to Jamie Hayon’s gigantic white thrones straddling Asia de Cuba’s (the Mondrian’s Asia/Latin fusion restaurant) expansive communal dining table – the theme is anything but understated.
In the lobby, glossy white walls standout seductively against the futuristically ornate, ebony staircase; whilst in the guestrooms, curvy space-age bathroom fittings hit it off with delicate flock wallpapers and airy marbled openness.
